Halsall Building Solutions is consulting firm that helps real estate organizations align building performance with business performance. We specialize in sustainability strategy, decarbonization planning, and technical services like capital and retrofit project management, energy audits, green building certifications (BOMA BEST, LEED, etc.) and risk assessments. Whether you're developing new assets or improving existing ones, we turn complex challenges into practical, measurable outcomes.  


Halsall Building Solutions was founded in 2025 by Graham Halsall, a familiar face in Canada's commercial real estate sector. 


Graham's career has always focused on innovation and optimization in the commercial real estate industry. Since 2009, Graham has worked with industry leaders to embed sustainable development, construction and management best practices into day-to-day operations. He has supported existing building performance and data-driven energy management projects for some of Canada's leading consultancies, and was recently responsible for the creation and implementation of an ESG platform for a 20M+ sqft. mixed-use national portfolio.


In 2025, Halsall Building Solutions was launched to help owners and managers execute on their sustainability priorities, and to act as a technical resource for decarbonization, net zero and risk/resilience measures. He lives in Calgary and can often be found high up in the mountains with his wife and son.

January 2026 - Solar PV Retrofit Pricing (AB vs ON)

Solar PV retrofit tender results for warehouse properties in Alberta continue to be approx. 30-35% less cost than for properties in Ontario. This factors in identical material specifications and labour expectations, and if anyone can explain the variance in good detail, we're all ears.
